Crystal electric field in Ce Al, Ce3 Al11, Ce3 Al compound with heavy fermion
Description
The energy structure of the fundamental multiplet 2F5/2 of the Ce3+ ion in Ce Al, Ce3 Al11, Ce3 Al is investigated by inelastic neutron scattering. The effect of strong interaction between 4f-electrons and conduction electrons on the crystalline electric field have 'anti screening' nature. The presence of two quasielastic lines in the spectrum of Ce3 Al with strongly differing widths indicates the existence of fast and slow Kondo spin fluctuations in this compound
