Formulation of single component kit for the preparation of /sup 99 m/Tc-Tin-nano colloid; a sentinel lymphnode imaging agent

Description
/sup 99m/Tc-Tin-Nano-Colloid has recently been proposed as a promising radio pharmaceutical for sentinel lymph node localization in breast cancer, and Melanomas after the revival of the lymphoscintigraphy. In present work a kit formulation has been developed thus simplifying the radio labeling procedure. After several quality control test /sup 99m/Tc-Tin-Nano-Colloid kit was further evaluated in human. The results demonstrate that the kit is stable in vivo, showing drainage pattern to lymphatic channels and stop draining at position where the lymph node is plug by cancer cells. Therefore, the single component kit formulation can be proposed as a releasable kit for routine preparation for santigraphic assessment of the sentinel lymph node in breast Masses
