Non-destructive testing - Acoustic emission inspection - Primary calibration of transducers. 1. ed.

Description

Acoustic emission method for non-destructive testing is one of the methods used by SC3, related to acoustic methods of TC 135 concerned with non-destructive testing. Standards related to procedures and general methods are needed to ensure quantitative results and wide applicability. Present International Standard deals with one primary standard for transfer of acoustic emission. It is foreseen that the present International Standard should be accompanied by other standards for determination of transfer sensitivity and phase response. The present Standards has been presented by United States after the Fifth Meeting of ISO/TC 135/SC held in Berlin in April 1989
