X-ray diffraction in La3Ga5SiO14 crystal, modulated by surface acoustic wave

Description
X-ray diffraction in La3Ga5SiO14 crystal modulated by 12 μm surface acoustic wave was investigated. Sinusoidal modulation in a crystal lattice by surface acoustic wave gives rise to the diffraction satellites on the both sides of the Bragg peak. It is shown that angular positions and intensities of the diffraction satellites depend strongly on amplitude and acoustic wavelength, on X-ray energy and reflex number
Abstract (Russian)
Исследован процесс дифракции рентгеновского излучения на кристалле лангасита (La3Ga5SiO14), промодулированном ультразвуковой сверхрешеткой с длиной волны Λ = 12 мкм. Синусиодальная модуляция кристаллической решетки поверхностной акустической волной приводит к появлению на кривой качания дифракционных сателлитов, угловое положение и интенсивность которых зависит как от амплитуды и длины волны ультразвуковой сверхрешетки, так и от энергии падающего рентгеновского излучения и индексов рефлексаAdditional details
