High purity germanium nuclear radiation detectors
Description
An overview of the high purity germanium detectors applied to X and γ-ray spectrum analysis is presented. The requirements of original material for detectors manufacturing technology and characteristics are described. This kind of detectors is compared with silicon X-ray detectors, Ge(Li) γ-ray detectors and NsI(Tl) scintillators
