Radiological monitoring results and its preliminary study of the ambient environment around Qinshan NPP

Description
Environmental radiological monitoring results of Qinshan NPP from 1992 to 1994 and its preliminary study are described. A monitoring program was established in accordance with relevant national regulations and standards. Monitoring terms included measurements of environment gamma radiation and determinations of nuclide contents in and gross beta activity of main environment media such as air, water, soil and biologic materials. The monitoring results show that the radiation level and the nuclide contents in the main media of ambient environment of Qinshan NPP fluctuate around the local environment background level. The results indicate no detectable environmental impact has been found since the commissioning of Qinshan NPP in 1991
