Nuclei from the barium region: nonaxial or gamma-soft

Description
The possibility is studied of describing nuclei from the Ba, Xe region in terms of the quadrupole collective model with the γ-independent potential energy surface. Results show that the nuclei in question can be treated both as γ-soft vibrators and nonaxial rotors. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Es wird die Moeglichkeit untersucht, Kerne aus der Ba, Xe Gegend in Termen des Quadrupol Kollektivmodells mit der γ-unabhaengigen Potential Energie-Oberflaeche zu beschreiben. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass diese Kerne sowohl als γ-Vibratoren als auch als nichtachsiale Rotoren behandelt werden koennen. (orig.)Additional details
