Determination and levels of 99Tc in environmental and biological samples
Description
In this paper, the physical and chemical methods used in the author's laboratory for the measurement of 99Tc in natural samples are reviewed. Levels of 99Tc in rainwater, algae, and freshwater samples are given. In addition, an estimation of the radiological impact of 99Tc to the population, derived from earlier atmospheric 99Tc measurements, is presented. For rainwater, levels of 137Cs are also given for comparison. (author) 20 refs.; 4 tabs
