Plasma calorimeter for absorption measurement of laser produced plasma

  • 1. Osaka Univ., Suita (Japan). Inst. of Laser Engineering

Description

A new type of plasma calorimeter which has no sensitivity for visible light has been developed for light absorption measurement of laser light in laser irradiated targets. A thin glass plate which is transparent for laser light was used as an energy absorber. Ni resister was adopted to measure the temperature rise of the absorber. CAMAC data logger was introduced to decide the absorbed energy in a sensor. (author)
