Spin dependence of neutron transfer in heavy ion reactions
Description
An analytical formula has been obtained for the spin dependence of the semiclassical transfer probability for transfer of a neutron between heavy ions. The formula can be used to obtain information about the spin selectivity of the reaction. Three reactions are studied to illustrate the effects of the Q-value and the j of the initial and final states on the transfer probability. (orig.)
