Dissipative structures in nanocrystalline films

Full text: The creation of new materials with unique properties is a conclusive element of modem technology development. The films materials could be used for modeling of nonequilibrium processes taken place in bulk materials. The term 'dissipative structures' was introduced by I.Prigogine. The structures arise in self-organization processes. The processes are result of the considerable remoteness from equilibrium conditions. In the solid state with high concentration of elastic stress the high internal bends of crystalline lattice were observed. The hydrodynamic and thermal effects created the complex structures due to gradients of temperature and pressure. Due to gradients of temperature and pressure the hydrodynamic and thermal effects competition created the complex structures. The convective Rayleigh-Benar cells, Taylor vortex and Heller-Show viscous fingers were observed in magnetic nanocrystalline films Fe-C, Fe-Tb, Co-C, Co-Pd, Co-Dy after explosive crystallization. In this work the results of investigation of other types of structural shapes: lens-type and sickle-type crystals which were observed in Co-C and Cr2O3 films are represented. It is shown, that surface of Co-C crystal has a form of the hyperbolic umbilical and the surface Cr2O3 crystal has a form of the elliptic umbilical. The both of surfaces are structural stable and relate to seven elementary catastrophes. As known the seven elementary catastrophes include all structurally stable surfaces. The boundaries of the lens-type and sickle-type crystals outline by hyperbola and ellipse. In this work is shown that the constants in equation of hyperbola and ellipse are directing parameters of the crystal growth.
