Short distance QCD effects on the s→dγ* loop
Description
The short distance QCD corrections to the elementary electroweak process s→dγ* are examined within the four quark model with the GIM mechanism incorporated. The bare result is found to be modified by a factor around -1. The s→dγ* loop has also been considered within the 6 quark model of Kobayashi and Maskawa. The effect of the extension to 6 quarks seems to be of the order of 10% of the 4 quark model result. (Auth.)
