Low-temperature radiation grafting of vinyl fluoride onto polymeric substrates

Description
Peculiarities of kinetics and mechanism of low-temperature radiation-induced graft polymerization of vinyl fluoride on polymer support are considered. Optimal conditions of the process conducting without homopolymer formation are determined. The nature of active centers of graft polymerization under the effect of gamma radiation (doses up to 200 kGy) is studied. Rate constants of polymer chain growth and breakage are found. (author)
