Distribution of the electric field intensity and seletion of parameters in the large-area flow-gas multiwire proportional counter
Description
To understand the general distribution of the electric field intensity in the large-area flow-gas multiwire proportional counter, an approximate physical model is suggested for numerical calculation and the field intensity distribution that is the relative result based on limited conditions is obtained. The relation between the distribution and some geometric parameters of the counter, such as the interval between the neighbor wires and the anode-to-cathode distance, is presented. This is advantageous for the design and application of the multiwire proportional counter. (authors)
