Description
In different parts (industrial, operation and sanitary-protective zones) of a territory of plant for re-making and conservation of low radioactive waste products near Moscow, the thalli of the epiphytic lichens Hypogymnia physodes and Parmelia sulcata was collected for measurement of activity of some accumulated radionuclides. The results of this study give evidence that mean values of beta- and gamma-activity of radionuclides in lichen thalli are not different from baseline. But some maximum values of radionuclide activity in lichen thalli give evidence of the possibility of violation of procedures in the factory under study, probably during transit and discharge. Also this assumption confirm the rather high values of alpha activity in lichen thalli
