Bad fuel elements in the HTR core

Automatic translation: On September 28, 1977, a working seminar took place at the KFA together with HOBEG, where HOBEG's procedures for quality assurance of fuel elements (BE) were discussed in detail. It was agreed that the discussion about the problem of reliably determining the bad proportion of BE in the pebble pile core from product specifications and product quality should take place between Mr. i.d. Schmitten (HOBEG) and the IRE of the KFA should be continued. The aim is to record the extent and influence of bad shares more precisely and thus to improve the interpretation and safety arguments with third parties (e.g. experts, operators. The meeting on November 8, 1977 included two agenda items: 1) Presentation and discussion of the procedure for determining the BE bad proportion in a pebble pile core. 2) Other activities.
Abstract (German)
Am 28.9.77 fand in der KFA gemeinsam mit HOBEG ein Arbeitsseminar statt, bei dem eingehend die Verfahren der HOBEG zur Qualitätssicherung von Brennelementen (BE) behandelt wurden. Es ist dabei vereinbart worden, daß die Diskussi on über die Problemstellung, den Schlechtanteil von BE im Kugelhaufen-Core aus Produktspezifikation und Produktqualität zuverlässig zu bestimmen, zwischen Herrn i.d. Schmitten (HOBEG) und dem IRE der KFA weitergeführt werden soll. Die Zielsetzung ist dabei, den Umfang und Einfluß von Schlechtanteilen genauer zu erfassen und damit die Auslegungs- und Sicherheitsargumentation mit Drittstellen (z.B. Gutachtern, Betreibern zu verbessern. Die Besprechung am 8.11.77 umfaßte zwei Tagesordnungspunkte: 1) Darlegung und Diskussion des Verfahrens zur Bestimmung des BE-Schlechtanteils in einem Kugelhaufen-Core. 2) Weitere Aktivitäten.Files
