Opinion of the Commission of sustainable development and land planning on the bill project related to the application of the precautionary principle defined in the Charter for the Environment to risks resulting from electromagnetic waves (nr 531) - Nr 585

Description

In a first part, this report outlines that electromagnetic waves are always more present in our environment (mobile phones, radio and television waves, electricity transport, and domestic devices), comments the concern about possible hazards related to these waves and recommendations made by different French and international organisations (WHO, ANSES, European Agency for the Environment), and outlines improvements to be brought to the bill project. The second part reports the Commission's general discussion and comments on the different articles. A first set of articles contain general measures (modifications in the environment code, in the urban planning code, and in the post and telecommunications code, advertising prohibition, information campaign on the use of mobile phone). A second set of articles address provisional and financial measures
