On the effect of thymidine on the frequency of pathological processes in rats at later periods after the exposure
Creators
Description
Thymidine, a basic DNA precursor, has been administered at 1 mg per irradiated rat, i.e. at an effective therapeutic dose which is equivalent to thYmidine content in 5 mg of DNA. The intraperitoneal administration to 450 R irradiated animals 24 hr after treatment does not affect the avera.oe life span. High tumour rates in all animal qroups tested have been observed
