Five different topics were researched: The effect of combined heat-radiation treatment on post-harvest storage of melons; the use of low dose irradiation for delaying ripening of avocados; the tolerance of tropical fruits and vegetables to low dose irradiation; the effect of combined treatments on post-harvest maturation of mangoes; and the effect of ionizing radiation and synergistic treatments on the spoilage microorganisms of tropical fruits and vegetables
