The research of the low energy airborne γ spectrum

Description
The low energy airborne gamma ray spectrum main means the spectrum less than 1 MeV. Studies have shown that low-energy gamma spectrum of the peak and peak shape are closely related to mediums' physical properties and chemical composition near the surface. This paper analyzed the interaction between the γ-ray (emitting from 137Cs source) and mediums, such as cement, aluminum, iron, marble, lead and so on. From the equilibrium spectrum, we can receive the characteristic of low energy area of gamma ray spectrum, especially the relationship between low energy spectrum and mediums' effective atomic number. The results are significance for the research on airborne survey for geophysical exploration(authors)
