On-stream analysis in the mining industry
Creators
Description
Outokumpu's Courier 30 On Stream Analyser, developed for use in the mineral processing industry features a low power x-ray generator, associated crystal spectrometry and proportional counters facilities. It detects up to 5 elements (e.g. lead, zinc, copper, iron and silver) and pulp density per stream. The resolution is higher than 20 electron volts at 5.89 keV, with the limit of detection around 10 ppm for slurries and 1ppm for solutions. The on-line analyser is complemented by a pulsed sampling system, a process control equipment and software system for mill grinding, thus allowing for improved recoveries at optimum grade, reduced reagent consumption and lower staffing levels. ills
