Development of the Long Duration Chemical Oxygen Iodine Laser

Description
The development of Chemical Oxygen Iodine Laser (COIL) with a long duration is of important for the industry application of COIL. The aim of this research was to achieve a stable and longtime COIL operation. A systemic study of output power stability was performed from three aspects: influencing factors, solutions, and experimental verification. A 100s duration COIL in the power level of 5kW was firstly developed in our laboratory. The fluctuant range of power is about 5%, and the filling factor f (Imin/Imax) is about 0.4. (paper)
