Nonunitarity in rational conformal field theory
Description
A necessary condition for unitarity is given for rational conformal field theories in terms of the matrix implementing modular transformations. The interpretation of this criterion in 2+1 Chern-Simons theory and in terms of boundary conditions and RSOS models is noted. Some examples are given. (orig.)
