EPRI/CRIEPI Joint Study Program in support of the advancement of the liquid metal reactor (LMR)

  • 1. Electric Power Research Institute, Palo Alto, CA (USA)
  • 2. Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry, Tokyo (Japan)

Description

The EPRI/CRIEPI Joint Study Program began in late 1984. The objective of the program is to carry out studies on LMR topics which require research and development which are of mutual interest to EPRI and CRIEPI. Either party may propose a joint study subject or project. The execution of a joint study is based upon the concensus agreement of both parties. Assignments of joint study tasks may range from each party conducting independent testing and analysis with sharing of information and evaluations to conjoint EPRI/CRIEPI evaluations on the same aspect of a particular joint study. The results of joint study activities are exchanged through EPRI/CRIEPI workshops, information exchanges, specialists meetings and by the publication of joint study reports
