Charge properties of the hadronic system in νp and anti νp interactions

Description
Charge properties of the hadronic systems from νp and anti νp scattering in BEBC are studied in the framework of the quark-parton model (QPM). The average charges [Qsub(jet)]ν and [Qsub(jet)]anti ν of a u-quark jet and a d-quark jet, respectively, are determined according to two different methods. The difference [Qsub(jet)]ν - [Qsub(jet)]anti ν is in agreement with the QPM value of 1. Scaling of charge and energy flow in the angular variable lambda is demonstrated. The ratios ΔQanti ν/ΔQν of charge flows in νp and anti νp scattering are in accord with the QPM in both hemispheres. (orig.)
