Examination of Geminion hypothesis

Creators

  • 1. Waseda University, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo (Japan)

Description

Monte Carlo calculation for atmospheric interaction is carried out, where we stand to Geminion hypothesis proposed by Brasil-Japan Collaboration to interpret so-called binocular gamma-ray families of large distanced two or three clusters. It is shown that production rate of Geminion to total cross section should be less than 1/3. Possibility of observing binocular families is very small in case of the interaction governed by multiple meson production as observed in C-jet of Chacaltaya experiment
