Calculation of characteristics and calibration of a charged particle magnetic analyzer

Description

To carry out experiments on meson photoproduction possibilities of a magnetic analyzer with strong focusing are studied. Analyzer calibration was performed using a 239Pu α-source. The measured analyzer space angle was (3.52+-0.12)x10-3 sr. The momentum acceptance was +12% -14%. The best horizontal focusing point practically coincided with the calculated output focus value. Dispersion was determined as a ratio of the line peak shift to the momentum variation. The mean dispersion was (4.10+-0.12) mm/%. The analyzer resolution was determined as a ratio of the line width at the half-height to dispersion and the resolution value equal to (3.10+-0.18)% was found.
