Separate detection of hadrons and electrons in combined calorimeter
Description
Possibility of separate detection of hadrons and electrons (photons) using a combined hodoscopic detector representing Fe-scintillation hadron calorimeter with lead glass counter-base electromagnetic calorimeter is studied. Level of separation constituting approximately 10-3 at the efficiency of one of the particle registration equal to 0,9 is obtained for electrons and π--mesons with 25 and 43 GeV energy, respectively
