L-subshell ionisation cross-section of rare-earth elements with protons of 2.0 to 3.5 MeV

Description
The intensity ratios of Lα/Lβ and Lα/Lγ as a function of proton energy for rare-earth elements and for gold have been measured. For these elements the total cross-section of L X-rays have also been measured in the energy range between 2.0 to 3.5 MeV. A typical L X-ray spectrum of gold excited by 2.5 MeV proton beam is given.
