Evaluation of QCD background to Η → γγ at LHC

Description
A precise evaluation of two photon final states at LHC is of interest since they provide an irreducible background for Higgs discovery in the intermediate mass range. This has been done for the two photon continuum mass distribution but not for detailed correlations between the photons. We will deal with the two photons transverse momentum spectrum and show that soft gluon resummation is essential to properly describe the fixed target data. (author)
