Effect of laser irradiation parameters on boron distribution in hardening zone of steels and alloys
Description
Behavior of the laser hardening zones depending on the thickness of the boron-containing coating and laser emission energy has ben studied in special steels by the (n,α)-radiography method. It has been found that by laser alloying boron is present only in the zone of solidifying melt. The distribution of boron in this zone and its depth depend on the thickness of the boron-containing coationg and the power of laser emission
