Extraction and distribution of tantalum and niobium from acid fluoric solutions

Description
The influence of titanium and silicon macroconcentrations on distribution of tantalum and niobium fluorides on extraction with tributyl phosphate and octanol is investigated. A considerable growth of tantalum and niobium extraction is observed with an increase of the impurity contents. The process of production of high purity tantalum and niobium compounds is schematically proposed with the use of extraction from fluoride-titanium solutions, containing titanium up to 6 mol l-'1 without introduction of H2SO4 or other strong mineral acids into the extraction system

Исследовано влияние макроконцентраций титана и кремния на распределение фторидов тантала и ниобия при экстракции трибутилфосфатом и октанолом. С увеличением содержания этих примесей наблюдается значительный рост извлечения тантала и ниобия. Предложена схема получения чистых соединений тантала и ниобия экстракцией из фторидно-титановых растворов, содержащих титан до 6 моль л-1 без введения в экстракционную систему H2SO4 или других сильных минеральных кислотAdditional details
