Sensor head design for a laser based two axis alignment system for INDUS-2 magnets

  • 1. Instrumentation and Control Division, Centre for Advanced Technology, Indore (India)

Description

A sensor head has been designed which can sense the translation of an object it is mounted to in two axis and also measure the rotation of the object about two axis. This sensor head has been developed to monitor the alignment of the magnets of Indus II at CAT. The sensor has a range of ±10 mm in translation and ±5 degree in rotation. (author)
