Heterodiffusion of 110Ag into molten zinc in the temperature range 440-8860C

  • 1. Ceskoslovenska Akademie Ved, Ostrava. Ustav Teorie Hutnickych Procesu

Description

The heterodiffusion of 110Ag into molten Zn was studied in the temperature range from the Zn melting point to that approaching its boiling point. The capillary method of a thin layer, its modification with a general temperature program, and for the highest temperatures, the absorption method enabling diffusion during the experiment to be continuously observed, were applied. In a wide temperature range the Arrhenius equation, resp. generalized Eyring equation can be used for expressing the temperature dependence of diffusion of 110Ag into molten Zn. (author)
