Description

The possibility of using the Clerichi solution in the fabrication of shower spectrometers has been investigated. The data on the solution transparence are prosented. The shower spectrometer, based on the use of the Clerichi solution, and tested in electron beams with an energy from 3 to 48 GeV is described. A method is proposed to increase the light intensity of the shower spectrometer by placing scintillator thin plates in the transparent radiator. The advantages of such transparent sandwich over conventional ones (with non-transparent radiator layers) have been considered. Results of measuring the light response of the laminated radiator, based on the Clerichi solution, are given
