Radiolysis of polymethyl phenyl silaoxadihydrophenanthrenyl siloxane
Description
The radiolysis of polymethyl phenyl silaoxidehydrophenanthrenyl siloxane (PMPSPn) under the effect of gamma radiation in high vacuum at room temperature, by doses up to 50 MGr at 500 p/c dose rate is studied. It has been found that PMPSPn is cross-linked under the radiation effect. The increased radiation resistance of this polymer as compared with polyorganosiloxanes not containing in the lateral chain of silaoxadihydrophenanthrenyl links is shown. Principle schemes of PMPSPn radiation-chemical transformations are suggested
