Description
The influence of magnetic-active water (MAW) on the mineral content (calcium, phosphorus) in rat maxillo-dental system was dynamically followed up. The animals were treated during 30 days with MAW given as drinking water. calcium and phosphorus in the maxillo-dental system (upper and lower jaw, incisors, morals) was analyzed and compared with skeletal bones (thigh bone) on the 10-th, 20-th and 30-th day of the expiriment. On the 30-th day animals given MAW and control animals were gamma-irradiated (300 r) and the above mentioned parameters were analyzed on the 7-th, and 21-st post-irradiation day. As a result of external irradiation, the calcium and phosphorus levels in the tested tissues were gradually raised, especially those of calcium. MAW -treated and irradiated animals showed on the 7-th day higher calcium and phosphorus levels in the tested tissues than the control animals, which were only irradiated. However, these values returned to normal on the 21-st day, while in control animals they kept on rising. (author)
