Laws concerning the use of wind energy

The following doctoral thesis deals with the legal problems of the construction and operation of wind turbines in Germany and Austria. One main part tries to evaluate the legal aspects of the energy networks and the effects of the implementation of stochastic fluctuating wind energy. The second part gives a brief introduction into the technical system of wind turbines. In addition to this chapter the author tries to list up the different legal aspects of the wind energy support. The aim is to examine how wind energy is supported by the european law and the national law. The Kyoto-Protocol is therefore a very good example. In the last two chapters the author is willing to describe how far the placement for wind turbines can be influenced by national authorities and how strong this influence is in fact. At the end of the doctoral thesis the different systems of compensation will be examined to show if there is a difference between the system in Germany and Austria. (author)
