Precise determination of the scattering and activation cross sections of fast neutrons in the energy range 6 to 16 MeV

Description
The PTB compact cyclotron combined with a neutron time-of-flight spectrometer is a unique facility for the measurement of missing precise neutron data in the energy range between 8 and 13.5 MeV, where the production of monoenergetic neutrons is difficult. Such data are of importance to the fusion reactor technology and other applications. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Das PTB-Kompaktzyklotron in Verbindung mit dem angeschlossenen Neutronenflugzeitspektrometer ist eine weltweit einzigartige Anlage um im technisch nur schwer zu realisierenden Neutronenenergiebereich zwischen 8 und 13,5 MeV fehlende praezise Neutronendaten zu bestimmen. Diese Daten sind u.a. fuer die Technologie eines zukuenftigen Fusionsrekators von Bedeutung. (orig.)Additional details
