Investigation of crystallization of superconducting yttrium-barium cuprates from peritectic melts
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
Possibility of the directed synthesis of yttrium-containing superconducting cerium was studied using technique of melt crystallization. It was determined that to obtain yttrium-containg HTSC-materials it was necessary to maintain the optimal correspondence of oxygen chemical potential of the condensed and gas phases at all process stages. It was shown that to obtain high-quality materials it was necessary to minimize the time of high-temperature treatment. Was of the directed crystallization of the yttrium-containing phase ensuring the minimal content of non-superconducting cuprates and linked with introduction of additions of light rare-earth element ions stabilizing the crystalline structure of YBa2Cu3O7-δ phase, were determined. 43 refs., 5 figs
