Development of high power KrF laser for fundamental research of ICF driver and laser plasma interaction

  • 1. Academia Sinica, Beijing, BJ (China). Inst. of Atomic Energy

Description

A high power KrF laser system is under development in China Institute of Atomic Energy. The system consists of a front end, two-stage KrF amplifiers and two-stage Raman amplifiers, providing 100J, 1ns KrF laser with maximum average power density about 1014 W/cm2 on target for laser plasma interaction research. Some important technologies, such as front-end system, Angular Multiplexer, and injection locked oscillator are discussed. (author)
