Pi-mesic decay rates of Λ-hypernuclei by density-dependent Hartree-Fock solutions
Description
The expression of the total π-mesic decay rate of Λ in hypernuclei with independent-particle type wave functions is derived by using the closure approximation. The Pauli suppression factor is factorized out. The DDHF formalism along with the Skyrme type NN and ΛN interactions is employed to obtain the single-particle wave functions for Λ and nucleons, which are used to make a realistic estimate of the π-mesic decay rates of hypernuclei.
