Magnetic fields in white dwarfs

Description

The distribution of magnetic flux in white dwarfs is investigated, using models in strict radiative/conductive equilibrium, containing magnetic fields of dipolar angular structure. Some speculations are made about the influence of envelope convection on magnetic fields in cool white dwarfs. (author)
