PROGNOS: A critical analysis and calculation program for mathematical treatment the most important forecasting methods

Automatic translation: The first part of this work provides an overview and a critical analysis of today's common forecasting methods. After describing the most important intuitive and exploratory forecasting methods, some methods for data processing and parameter estimation (least squares method) are presented and the maximum likelihood method). The second part of the work describes the PROGNOS program, a calculation program for the mathematical treatment of some of the forecasting methods described in the first part of the work.
