Radiation effects on single cell by synchrotron radiation soft X-ray

Description
We transformed the transmission optical system of soft X-ray microscopy beam line, and established a platform suitable for studies on soft X-ray radiation damages to single cell. The X-ray energy of OK absorption edge was selected to scan Hela cells single by single. Single cell gel electrophoresis was used to evaluate the irradiation-induced damage effects. The results show that the radiation damage effect has dependence to the radiation dose. Thus, we provide a useful exploration for further works on radiation damage to single cells by soft X-rays.
