Stochastic quantization and large N limit of U(N) gauge theory

  • 1. Physics Dept., City College of the City Univ. of New York, New York, NY 10031

Description

The stochastic quantization method is used to derive the quenched momentum prescription for large N gauge theory. The authors review the stochastic quantization method and prove its equivalence to the ordinary Euclidean path integral quantization. Then they apply it to the large N reduction of U(N) gauge theory. They also make a few other remarks such as the stochastic quantization of lattice gauge theory
