Inductive heat treatment in reactor construction
Description
The experience is summed up with the heat treatment of welded pressure vessels of boiling water reactors and pressurized water reactors. In view of the large dimensions of the vessels (dia 5 to 7 m, wall thickness up to 250 mm) inductive heating is suggested. The conditions, parameters and technologies securing the reliability of welded joints are recommended. (F.M.)
