The first Ru(IV) methyl complexes, Ru(CH3)2(1-3:6-7:10-12-eta-C12H18) and Ru(CH3) I (1-3:6-7:10-12-eta-C12H18), are prepared by organometallic methylation of RuCl2(1-3:6-7:10-12-eta-C12H18). (author)
