Crystal structure and quantitative phase analysis of PbZr0,53 Ti0,47 O3 + y% Mg molar (y=0,25, 0,50, 1,0, 1,5)

Description
Samples of PZT with Zr/Ti proportion = 53/47, doped with Mg has been prepared by co-precipitation. The structure and quantitative phase analysis of the resulting powder was studied by Rietveld method of crystal structure refinement with X-ray diffraction data. It was found that the magnesium atoms were incorporated in the lattice in site A (pb site). The quantitative phase analysis showed a maximum for rhombohedral phase at 0.5% molar of Mg. (author)
