High-spin E2 bands in Kr isotopes

Description
Bands of E2 transitions are assigned to 79Kr and 81Kr on the basis of γ-ray singles, γ-γ coincidence, angular distribution, and excitation function measurements. These bands can be interpreted as arising from the decoupling of g/sub 9/2/ neutrons from the 78Kr and 80Kr cores, respectively, and a comparison is made with the previously reported 77Kr decoupled band. Relative reaction cross sections are in fair agreement with evaporation model calculations
